Why the change in format?
Greetings Weekend Wanderings Readers!
You’ve probably already noticed how the visual format of the website has changed. As part of my desire to change the focus of this site’s offerings I chose to update the visual representations along with the updated general mission. No more will you see me write a weekly diatribe in this site devoted to criticisms and eviscerations of the financial system. Apologies to you financial readers, but it’s just no longer where I want to expend my own energy.
On the contrary, going forward Weekend Wanderings will focus upon the part of our culture that I believe holds the keys to the solutions: our community. I believe it’s the unique and progressive people and organizations within our community that light up the great beacons all around us. It is they who will demonstrate the best innovations to us, who will inspire us with hope, and who will lead the way for a better future. Much like before, during the week I’ll highlight articles I think reflect the current mission of this website, and in the Thursday Edition I’ll highlight a local person or organization that I think is representing great solutions for our community.
While we certainly have plenty of challenges in the Bay Area, we are progressively developing and implementing solutions every day. And if you’re part of that, it’s actually YOU that I’m wanting to write about each week. So please accept my welcome to the new format of WeekendWanderings.com, Finding the treasures in your town and beyond. Hope you enjoy the product of the new mission!
